How come Bank Note Reporter has a circulation of around 8,000 while Coin World
and Numismatic News combined have over 100,000?.   Paper money is not as
popular as coins and it shows in the level of postings to that newsgroup.

It's *not* rcc papermoney, it's RCPM.

I'm surprised at the replies thus far.  There are a couple of very real
reasons for the situation with RCPM.  First, the inclusion of "money"
in the NG name has always attracted a disproportionate share of MMF
posts.  Second, there was only one PIA poster who constantly bombarded
the NG
with his obsession with his grading of world bank notes.  So I and many
others,
I think, just left.  I go there from time to time, but there is no spark
there,
no comraderie (sp?) as there is here.  Of course, the number of posts
there
was always lower than here.  Is this scenario accurate?  My memory,
mostly.
Aram.
