good deal on Stainless Steel pot/burner

If anybody lives near a Costco...

They currently have a stainless steel Turkey Fryer for about $75.00:
o stainless steel 8 gal pot
   o stainless steel burner
   o thermometer

The burner alone is worth the $75.00.  It is made of stainless steel and
will last forever.

I don't work for Costco-- this is just a heads up to any fellow homebrewers
who may be in the market for new equipment.

Oh my! Too bad I already got myself my brewing Xmas present (a temp
controller for my fridge)...

But then again, Santa may be feeling generous this year.... How did he
know I was in the market for another burner and an 8 gal pot?  <g>
Thanks for the head's up!

Matt

I bought this when it came out. It works great. I have added a spout. I
bought the ball valve (chrome plated brass) at The Home Brewery in
Riverside, CA. I did have to go to Home Depot to buy the necessary parts to
attach it to the brew pot and the barbed end to attach the hose.

Looks like quite a deal.  Do you know what gauge the SS is?

BTW it's http://www.stratfordimports.com - you forgot the "d"

Doh! forgot the D. No I do not know what gauge it is but, looks pretty
good to me. I'm no metal expert. I mean It's not flimsy or anything. I'm
actually going to use it to fry a turkey. SWMBO said she wants to do our
annual seafood feast in it(using it as a boiler for lobster, mussels,
crab etc)
So it keeps my brew kettles free from any mis/ab use.
