Steam beer yeast/CA common beer yeast?

I was wondering if anybody has used Wyeast 2112 for a beer other than a
steam beer?  I'd like to try some other lagers with it and was wondering
if it would be a suitable yeast for another lager.

I don't have the refrigeration needed to lager properly but have used 2112
to make an Octoberfest. If you don't have the facilities to use 2206 and
2124, like me, I think this would be a good choice of yeast to make
Octoberfest, Bocks and Pilsener. Matter of fact, if you ferment in the 65
degree F. range the other lager yeast will probably not ferment properly.

I know a guy who uses it for wheat beers as he doesn't like banana in
his beer. Makes a damn fine wheat beer too

I've done a couple of other "near-lager" beers with it, a "Bock" and a
"Doppelbock".  Both came out reasonably good, IMO.

I used it for a bock once as well.  I started drinking it as soon as
the keg was carbonated (didn't lager it for very long, as I was
impatient and thirsty ;), and it was pretty good, though not as clean
as I'd expect a lager to be.  It took me about a month to finish off
the keg, though, and by the end, it was damn good -- one of my
favorite batches, actually.  I've also heard of people using a neutral
ale yeast (eg. Wyeast 1056) at the low end of the temp range to
achieve lager-like results.
