Hello Fellow Brewers,
Has anyone tried to duplicate Tuppers' Hop Pocket Ale (Made by Old
Dominion)? It is a wonderful highly hopped ale that I'd love to try and
reproduce. Any comments would be appreciated.
A thousand thank yous,
Chris

A general approach:
OG about 15P
FG as low as you can get
IBUs about 50
Dry hop with citrousy US hops
Use 3 hops in the kettle, all domestic
American ale yeast
Add some caramel malt to the mash and maybe a touch of Munich
Bottle condition.
Good luck!
(If you like this beer, then you should try Hopdevil IPA from
Victory Brewing Co, in Downingtown Pa. Victory's brewmaster, Ron
Barchet, was responsible for Hop Pocket and I think he has done even
better with Hopdevil but I am quite biased).
