OK I guess I can not get help without also admitting to what I am
doing so here it is.

I am working on a Book. a Visual Journey of Naram 48

ITs huge almost 400 pages! Pictures are easy for me. Names on the
other hands not so easy especially when you have over 2000 images.
When you are done browsing this book you may very well believe you
have attended naram 48.

SO I am hear to request some help from the Rocketry Community. even if
you did not attend Naram you might recognize a rocket or the name of
someone in a picture.

Here is a VERY rough draft but overall complete version These are just
the photo pages but thats literally all of the book short of 6 pages
or so :-)

http://www.naramlive.com/naram48xga.pdf
Warning - This file is about 30mb in size!

What I would like is for you to download this book look through it. if
you can place any names to faces please send it to me and let me know.
Page number (page number ON the actual image is preferred not the pdf
page number though that will do as well just describe a few details of
which picture your describing. example page x bottom left of page
white and red model lifting off the person is XXX YYY etc..

I am ESPECIALLY in need of awards ceremony name placement. technically
I have all the names from the final results but I have no idea for the
most part WHICH image is what event and what division and which person
is which. in these kinds of situations a left to right limiting to
"winners" ie not heads in the background would be VERY appreciated!

I am going to dedicate an entire page to thanks for those that help me
in this even if its just one name it helps! - every name I can find is
one more person who will get the recognition they deserve in attending
and flying at Naram 48. I know it will make those modellers feel
better knowing there name is attached to there pictures.

Any help at all will be greatly appreciated! even if you can not help
give it a download and just enjoy :-) its pretty low res though I had
to make it small enough to not kill me iun my bandwidth bill but big
enough to be legible :-) The original files are 23 GIGABYTES!! while
the medium compression jpg pdf is 201mb!! so I can not upload those as
a mass download of something like that would be impossible for the
23gig file and bankrupt me for the 201mb file :- ) hehehe

Enjoy ! I would also appreciate any feedback you may have criticism is
welcome and desired  if its friendly :-)

Why am I doing this ? well I just want too. it was being done either
way. I am hoping advertising will pay for the book so I can keep the
cost low and any profit made beyond getting it published will be used
to get equipment (namely a camera since mine has about had it) to keep
naramlive.com going stronger than ever.

Again thanks for ANY help you can provide. Hopefully if this works out
and I get a new camera I will be able to just blow up name badges and
read them all :-) (so make sure your wearing you badge next year :-)

I looked at some of it.  Run it through a spell and grammar checker
for starters - Don't bite me - I'm just a messenger. 8-)

I finally got the thing to print out (had to refill the ink tanks
twice and thats draft printing!! would have cost $250 in ink if I had
to buy my carts retail!) and $25 in paper :-) (tried cheap paper and
it just sucked! so had to go with "decent" grade paper.

I found it VERY difficult to proof read on the screen so now that I
Have a printed copy I am marking that up making changes edits etc..
then I will go back and enact those changes to the digital copy. This
is a first draft. I literally finished dropping the photo's into the
last page an hour before uploading that file.

This way is easier as I can not spell check it. It is all done in
Photoshop so each page is hand made an individual image composite.
(its the only means I am familiar enough with and can control well
enough to do a nice job) My storage folder for the psd's is 23gig! the
201mb jpg file is compressed to 50% !! probably over 400mb at lowest
compression.

I have gotten to about page 62 in my revision process and its amazing
how many mistakes I have found and how many revisions/changes I am
going to have to make :-) and I thought the bulk of the work was
done :-) hehe yeah right. But its fun. I enjoy it and I will have
something a bit more permanent than a website that goes away or
digital files that just site on a HD or DVD.  Most of the text was
thrown in more as "notes" what I was thinking about when I was working
that section so I would not forget it later on. Any bits I could
recall I would toss in and worry about clean up later.

Hey Chris, if you ever get around to putting your NARAM stuff
on DVD (conventional, not HD), I would be willing to spend maybe
$10 plus S/H for that...
