Home made launch pad

Home made launch pad

Post by Shaw » Tue, 09 Jun 1998 04:00:00

Hi,
I'm just getting back in to rocketry, after a 15 year absence, and I was
wondering if anybody had any good plans for a home made launch pad.
I bought one of the Estes pads but I'm not to happy with it.  Its fine for
the little rockets but I would like to start making some bigger birds.

Any suggestions would be great.,

Thanx in advance,

Shawn,  Here's a pic of my launcher.  It will easily support a rocket up to
10lbs.  Right now it's got a 1/4 inch rod.  The cap that the rod sticks
through is changed to accept different rods.  I epoxied a nut to the rod
under the cap so it won't pull through.  (Don't want to launch another rod,
scary!)

launcher parts, $20.00,  rod from Impulse Aerospace  $10.00

The angle adjustments are made by changing the angle of the legs.  They're
just threaded in.  The rest of my Homepage is at:
