Wow. I got certified on one. Perfect launch. The second time I
launched it though the parachute got tangled up with the shock cord and
it droped out of the sky like a stone. I swear the thing bounced in the
ground. I could not see the damage but knew there must have been some
(it landed on the fins). As it turned out there was no damage at all.
Before launching it a friend told me that the LOC IV sometimes break
their fins on landing. Since it was a certification flight he thought I
should fiberglass them to make sure that this would not happen. The
fiberglass prob saved it. I liked it so much that I fiberglassed the
fins of the PM Bullpupy I'm working on now....I can honestly say I dont
think it is working out well because the boatail is made out of this
plastic. It is bluntly obvious that the epoxy/fiberglass does not stick
on the stuff the best. In sanding I am having nothing but trouble.
Hmmm....wish I didn't start with the stuff actually.... learning,
learning, learning, learning. Always. (smile)
