1) It is under warranty. Call Estes for free replacement parts.
2) You should get "cotton" or cotton blend "Cable Cord" at the hardware
store. Use a 12 to 18 inch length of this at the normal MK-109 anchor and
then tie the free end to the shock cord. With this, even the standard Estes
shock cord will survive dozens of flights!
