I wish you luck.  I auctioned one off about 6 months ago and if memory
serves me right, it sold for $35

WOW! 200% return on a six month investment!
And it's still sitting in stores to boot.

I picked up SEVERAL terrier/sandhawks from Belleville Hobby's
for around $25 this past May. At this rate of 'collectable'
inflation, I'll be a millionaire at the end of next year!

If you sold your rocket kit for $35.00, I feel sorry for you.  The list
price was right around that amount.  I based the price on what I have
seen in other recent auctions.  Try
http://w3.nai.net/~stuckman/html/rocketry.html if you don't believe it
is a resonable price.  If you don't like the price, don't buy it!

Hmph. Caveat emptor, I suppose. I know a local supplier trying
to move a half dozen or so of these at 30% *below* list...

...also Jayhawks, Optimas, Broadswords, etc. - pretty much anything
that's been in production in the '90s. (Sorry - no Saturns,
Honest Johns, or V2s) A few months ago, I picked up an Orbital
Transport, Starship Excalibur, Trident II, Xarconian Destroyer,
and Hercules for about $45 total.

And NO, I will NOT be party to scalping these kits. I build 'em
and fly 'em. (OTOH, if JimZ needs plans & scans for anything in
particular, I'll see if I can get it.)

I bought 2 Terrier-Sandhawks from MSH for something like $24 each last
year.

I saw several at Michaels stores when I was shopping this weekend. I think
they were around $30 or so.

I have one here as well but I will sell for best offer.
(might consider trade for something that tickles my interest!)

Maybe you are right but the kit has been sold!  Maybe they are not as
common in this area.

Do you currently have a jayhawk for sale?

I'll sell you one - for $75

I could sell it to you for $40 - the original list price, but then you'd
feel sorry for me.   ;)

Just about twice what it sells for at the local hobby shop. There are a lot of
these kits still out there. IMNSHO, These kits are junk. That's why you can
still find them.
