> George,

I read all of the information on the site before I began construction on my
Apollo 11.  I picked up some good information and at the same time I found a
better way to affix the body wraps.  First, I cut the body wraps to fit
snug.  Then without glue, I wraped them around the BT and put several ***
bands around it, about 8 or 9 on the wider wraps.  The I applied medium
thickness CA around the top and the bottom circular edges of the wraps where
they contacted the BT.  I stopped gluing about an inch and a half away from
the joint so that when I removed the *** bands, the edges striaghtened out
and were not touching the BT.  The I coated the exposed BT under the wraps
and the inside of the wraps with thinly applied contact cement, let it dry
for 10 minutes and then pressed the wrap to the BT.  A perfect snug fit.  I
also found out that thin CA does not do the job properly.  I tested the CA
before trying it and the thin stuff caused the wrap to tear.
