the (more expensive) electronics in the nose bay. One way to avoid the
problem, while still making the electronics accessible, would be to hold
the nose cone in with three or four small screws -- you may need to
reinforce the nose section tube where these pass through, but they'll be
much more reliable than a friction fit, and still allow easy access to
the nose compartment.
