Michigan Team 1 is planning "Icerock" this winter. A high power event on
frozen Houghton Lake up in the Michigan hinterlands. Brrrrrrrr! Actually
about 3 hours north of Detroit. Check their website for updates.

You bring the hot chocolate and I'll bring the AP.  We'll keep warm
lighting BIG rockets. <g>
Sounds like fun to me.  I've never tried to launch a rocket through the
ice before...Oh, we're launching them on TOP of the ice?  Where's the
challenge in that? ;-)  I still have a bullet-proof Mach Buster that can
penetrate a few inches of ice without even trying.
