It's January 1, 2000*, Isn't http://www.estesrockets.com supposed to be up
by now? I get a "Directory Listing Denied" error.

*PS: Weren't we supposed to have atomic anti-gravity Studebakers and family
vacations on the Moon and Mars by now? :b

Must be a y2k glitch.... Estes isnt rich enough to spend their money on
upgrading you know, cause after all, their computer is all RTF (ready to
fail...) and the staff probably has no knowledge of computers..

As most people on r.m.r. seem to forget:  Estes is a business.

Most businesses are not open on Holidays or on weekends.  I would imagine
that they will put the website up when it is really ready and I wouldn't
call it MIA yet.  Give them at least until the end of tomorrow (04 Jan 2000)
because that's when many folks go back to work.  And even then, who gave a
firm launch date?  I simply heard "in January 2000".  I never heard what
date in January 2000.

At least the new Cheerios have shown up in California!  Some were even on
store shelves before 2000, so you could have gotten US coins with a 2000
date on them in 1999.  At least one person (a local TV reporter who posts on
another newsgroup) took theirs to the Post Office on Dec 31 in a window
envelope and had it cancelled to verify he got it early.

But, speaking of rockets....the Wal-Marts are pretty much obliterated on
Estes stuff (even Episode 1).  There will be major restocking in January and
we'll see if they keep getting boxed kits or just RTF.  Many stores had a
few boxed kits during the end of year blitz, but they sold out quick.
