Well, it appears Estes has updated their website; the What's New list has been
reduced from 17 to 8 items. The Dude is still there, 'tho.  But no mention yet
of the new C motors nor the resurrected 1/2A, A and B motors.

Doug
Thinking I'll only truly believe [it] when I get those C11's in my hand...but a
mention on Estes web site might be reassuring...

I have seen the C11-7 motors at my local 'craft shop', interestingly our
local 'hobby shop' doesn't have them yet.  What are the delays that they
will be selling the C11's in (if anyone knows)?

Delays are listed on the NAR website.

C11's are (in theory) coming in -0, -3, -5, and -7 variances.  I keep
getting told that I will be getting them in stock 'next week', but
still waiting.  I do think we will see them soon though.

I did pick up a couple packs of 1/2A6-2 last month and the E engines
have been available here for at least a couple of months.

But yeah I too am looking forward to those C11 engines.

Yeah, I already have a stash of the E's. I just need to get that Omega-E
finished...

Could you tell if the 1/2A6 motors were new production, or just old stock?

Now only if the hobby stores here would sell the new E engine hooks.

The store I brought it from didn't have them for quite some time, and
this
batch I purchased are in the new blue with black top blister packs.
The
engine themselves are in the newer case and one of them has a code
of 'A050301' on it.

Helen -

http://www.asp-rocketry.com sells 'E' motor hooks.  I'm not sure if Estes is
yet selling them.

Saw them at HobbyTown here in Fort Collins (CO). Are you aware they are same
size as the D12?

I was just in Fort Collins last week on my way back from Apogee. My wife's
parents live in the first dome built in Fort Collins.

Huh? Estes Es are shown to be 3.75" long; their Ds are 2.75" long.
Same diameter (24mm), if that's what you meant.

I did.
So, by that do you mean the catalog shows them to be 2.75" long
instead of the 3.75" on the website?

No. I just wanted folks to go read that thread and see the small number of
errors (and make a note of them to avoid flying or designing errors).

They show the sizes of all the motors correct and page 32 would make a
fantastic classroom poster.

I missed that! I was shocked when I saw them -- wasn't aware of them.
First reaction was they were NOT a different 18mm C motor!

However, I'm still thinking they were D12 sized. Why would a C be longer
than a D??
