Current TRA approved motor list?

Post by Norman Heye » Wed, 31 Jul 1996 04:00:00

I was looking at a TRA approved motor list and noticed that the copy I
have shows a bunch of motors expiring 6/96 or earlier. Is there a more
current list that is available?

This really isn't meant as flamebait. I've heard that the new list is
being sent to members. Did TMT retest the motors that are coming up? Is
this how the the revelation that the H128 isn't an H and all that?

Later,
Norman

"Memory jogger", Jerry - early on in my 'expose', I made mention about
using single quotes ('  ') to surround things I consider to be false -
such as 'leadership', 'president', 'logic', etc - although that is not
the only way and reason I use them.

Thus, my use here.  I gave up 'looking for it' years ago when it
became obvious it was non-existent <g>.

As an additional point, I thought it was *dang* convenient for this 'delay' in
availability to manifest itself RIGHT before LDRS this year.  Wasn't it
'wonnerful, wonnerful' that, just in the nick of time, the use of motors could
be extended.  If that had not happened, on 1 July of this year, there would
have been only THREE 'I' motors on the list - and, three days later at LDRS,
imagine the 'chagrin' of rocket folk at Orangeburg with such a 'pittance' to
choose from.

Yeah.  'data delay' can sometimes be a great thing - especially when one is
running for re-election.  Of course, that raises the question of why the
recently 'demised' TMT Chairman was 're-elected' last year at LDRS 14.  I'm
sure that wouldn't have a thing to do with the fact that this 'chairman' was a
good buddy of 'Mr. Prez' or on his payroll?

Nah!!!  Couldn't be!!

What's even  ore interesting is that I had about a dozen motors scheduled
to expire in 3-96 which were extended a year, but now that the book comes
out only 3 motors are in it one of which is the nozzleless which was
submitted/paid for at the time of the submission of the now mis-called
Kosdon reloadables at the 2-91 Winterfest test.

There is no logic.  Stop looking for it.

As I understand, Norman, those motors on the TMT list scheduled to
expire 3/96 and 6/96 were extended for ONE year, "due to delays in
availability of more detailed data."  (???)

Don't ask me why 'delays' in 'more detailed data' has anything to do with
an extension being granted.  I generally don't engage in that kind of
'logic' :-)
