About a year ago many of you reported problems with Estes D12's. I had
several on hand, and none of mine matched the date codes having problems.
However, the last 2 D12's I've flown (separated by several months) have both
had problems. One was low on thrust due to a too big or ablated nozzle, and
the other had a complete CATO spitting both the nozzle and ejection charge
before the rocket left the rod. The date code on these is 6A12. Is anyone
else having problems with these? (M.E.S.S. report filed; Estes contacted.)
