Would the national rocketry organizations be willing to contact their
presidents, prefects, chairpersons, or whomever to set a date for such
a national event?
Perhaps early next month?
I'm sure the local groups would work hard to make it happen in their
areas.
There must be enough club standing waivers out there to make a
reasonably good PR splash.
Don't forget to appoint a publicity person to contact TV, radio,
newspapers, etc!
