Well, the title says it all. My good buddy, Dennis Winningstad modified
his Fat Boy for 24mm D-12's, and added a few grams of nose weight. Flight
was good, so he thought, "If one's good, two is better" He taped a D-12-0
to the sustainer motor, and let her rip. There was a $1 bet on whether it
would be stable or not. It wasn't, going horizontal about 50' up, staging into
the ground at around a 20 degree angle, loosing a fine, and bouncing back up
into the air while corkscrewing. He found a fin. I got a nice shot of the liftoff,
and of the dollar being paid.
