I second the selection of G.Harry Stines Handbook of Model Rocketry.
Lots of stuff for the beginner and the advanced rocketeer. It's available
(among other places) from Rogers Aeroscience, 818-349-4825, for $18.95
plus S/H.  Terry McCreary

Yes, "Handbook of Model Rocketry" by G. Harry Stine, ISBN 0-471-59361-3
I have the Sixth edition, I don't know if there is a newer one yet.

Welcome to a great hobby!
