G55 in a EZI-65 (with the right adapter)

Has anyone flown a G55 on a EZI 65? On the day of certifying I am going to
do a  test flight on a G to make sure everything's right but I only have
G55's. I may need to trade it with someone for a G80....

Barely a chance. Better choice is a G125, maybe a G80.

C'mon, Tai, what does it weigh? Have you built it yet?

Gene,

He has it built in his mind!

Have you simulated this combo in Rocksim, or other flight simulation
program? Methinks probably not.

Is it built? How much does your EZI weigh? At least get the 5:1 ratio
rolling to see if a G55 would work.

I suggest you go to www.apogeerockets.com and download the rocksim demo.
While there go to the rocksim design library and get Matt Stum's EZI-65
file.  Then add the appropriate motor adapter and sim.  Try with other
G motors.  You can pick up a G80 at Hobbytown USA or, if this is for the
McGregor Launch, you might be able to buy one from an on-site vendor.

If you can prove to me it will work, I'm willing to buy a motor or reload
kit for you with the understanding that you will pay me back with cash.

Methinks probably not.<

Actually, Wrasp says 894 feet, ~7 seconds to apogee and a launch rod velocity
of 42 fps.
