Walmart and D-12's

There are 2 Walmarts close by and both started stocking 2 packs of D12-3s.
None of the Dude sets yet and no marked shelf space for them. Strange they
would stock a motor and no rocket for them. When they stopped selling the
Snitch RTF the B6-0s and C6-0s came off the shelf, too. We'll keep checking.

Interestingly, the Walmart most near me seems to be closing out its rocket
stuff. Stopped there on Saturday to find only a couple of RTF starter kits, a
few packs of engines, and a Estes Super Shot starter kit. Engines are still
$5/3-pack for A, B, and C. No D's. The Starter sets were all $10.  All this
stuff had been moved from its previous spot to a new one an aisle away and
behind a pole.

Reposting something I attempted to post last week, since our newsfeed was
FUBAR all last week. Sorry if it's old news by now.

Several of the Austin Texas Walmart's (including Round Rock) have the D12-3
packs for US$4.99.  The dude is selling for US$19.99 and I wil be putting it
together this weekend.  I wonder how it will do on a AT E-18??

The Walmart in Akron, OH has the DUDE as well as D12s.  I also saw
that they still had the RTF stuff with the micro max.  Will they ever
carry regular kits?

That's a nice price.  I've been paying $9-10 a pack for three D's in hobby
shops, and the local WalMart is selling two packs of D's for $5, which is
like a price break for me, since I can get 4 for $10 instead of a three
pack.  Of course, we don't even have a local hobby shop in C***te, NC, so
I have to go out of town a bit to find them at a hobby store.

Hobbylinc (http://www.FoundCollection.com/) sells them for $6.89 a pack, and
I know there are a couple of other places with similar prices.  Mind
you, you have to pay shipping and wait for them.
