Newbie Q - Making one's own igniters

:> I have a spool of well over 1000 feet of silver? coated copper 30 gauge single
:> strand solid wire.  If anyone wants it (I am keeping the other for myself), I
:> will sell it for $50 plus shipping (probably around $5).  It works very well
:> for making wire wrap igniters with Thermalite.

: If Paige Digital is still around, they carry 1000 ft spools of this
: wire. I last bought one 4 years ago for $21.00.

Hm, it would have been nice to have had such a source when I purchased the
wire.  I am now too embarassed to admit what I had to pay for the wire. I
thought that was a pretty nice discount.

It is surplus to my needs.  Best offer takes it.

hookup wire)<<<

I could use a roll myself but in the mean time, sorta make mine
by running a double length about 50', spin them together with a
drill, then applying a goop to help keep them together.
Afterwards, I cut to length, strip, etc...

Clear dope doesn't work that well but plastic cement is okay.
Probably needs a shellac.

I've yet to see these new ignitors.  Do they look like they'll
fit the entire range of AT fab'd motors (i.e. Apogee B7s and
larger)?

Word from Jim Turner (Trailing Edge) is that his recent shipment
of H and larger motors from AT has these new ignitors.

Nope. These are HPR ignitors. The one I used was smaller than the FireStar
or magnelite yellow zip cord, but larger than the wire wrap ingitors. While
it was intended for 29mm and 38mm HPR reloads, I'd guess it would fit some
of the larger nozzle 29/40-120 and maybe even 24/40 reloads like the E28.
NFW would it fit D13, B7, or D3.

I have made some that do fit these small motors myself.
