Launch Report/Question

Ok, so the day started off with hardly anywind, so I couldn't resist. I
grabbed by Big Bertha, the Sparrow, and a custom design rocket and
headed off to our launch site/parking lot. So anyway everything was
great. Until the final launch of my bb. On a c6-5 motor it lifted off at
at appoggee the ejection charge poped and somehow i saw that there was a
problem, i saw the chute malufunctioning, so luckily i caught it and i
founf that the shroud lines were tangled around the fins, the bt, and
the motor mount. Sigh. But, I always carry a spare chute.

Anyway here is my question:
after countless launches of the big bertha today i finally noticed that
it spins during the inital thrust at liftoff. Why? Did estes do this on
purpose???

Is it possible you fins are not correctly aligned? Sometimes I have seen
that even with fins I thought were straight, some of my small rockets still
spin just a little.

A slight fin misalignment will cause a spin.  That, or either your fins
warped?
