Cheap Shower Invitations!

Cheap Shower Invitations!

Post by HayaTig » Thu, 17 May 2001 14:00:35

Well gals, lemme tell you... Dumb me volunteered to host an ENTIRE baby shower
for my step-sister. I mean, I'm in charge of the whole thing. And, I thought I
was going to have until the first or middle of June to get it ready, but I just
found out the other day that we're going to have it the 26th of this month.
Well, me still being a ***ager, I don't have a whole lot of money...so, I had
to come up with cheap ways of making all of the stuff for the shower. I found a
VERY cheap way to make invitations...stick a die-cut on the front! : ) A pack
of 8 already-made invitations at Wal-Mart was $3.00. I got a pack of 25 blank
invitations at Michael's for half off, which only cost me $2! So, I bought some
ducky die cuts, and stuck them on with my Xyron. They're simple (not near as
pretty as JoaNa's invitations) but they WERE CHEAP : ) If ya'll want to see
them, you can look here...

Cute invitation Harley!  Isn't it amazing how poverty gets those creative
juices flowing!  Just think how cute it will look on your page when you
s***the shower.

Cheap Shower Invitations!

Post by Debbie » Fri, 18 May 2001 03:45:05

Those are cute!  I've been in the same spot only with a wedding shower.  I
made postcards (cheaper postage) on the computer.  I opened my mouth and
ended up having to do 250!  Now I have learned to ask how many are invited.

EXCELLENT idea!!!  You're sweet...I bet your invitations went together a LOT
more quickly than mine did, though!!!  After the fifth one, I was grumbling,
"What the HECK was I thinking, making 25 invitations AND envelopes??? I'm
nuts."

Thanks gals... And yeh JoaNa, they went together really quickly : ) So, now you
girls know what to do if you have to make some invitations cheap and
quickly....die cuts : ) I wish I hadn't volunteered to do everything, or I
would have made the invitations prettier...but, like Sandi said, all that
counts is the page it's scrapped on! : )
