Hi there,
I am from Milw, Wi and I ahve been scrapping for about 2-2 1/2 years now!! I
started by making an album for my daughters girl scout troop. I am the
leader and I thought it would be kinda cool to put together a scrapbook of
some sort so the parents could see what the girls were doing, like field
trips, special activities, etc.  I started very basic, even used construcion
paper and other non acid free materials.  Then, I went to a creative
memeories party and started to rethink the way I was going to put the
scrapbook together.  I said to myself that I would ONLY s***girl scout
pictures.  Well needless to say, I started to move on to bigger and better
things.  I thought, well, maybe I could s***just the big milestones in my
kids lives, birthdays, chistmas etc.  I also said that I would not go back
through my photo album and pull pictures to scrap.  Well, I did!!!! I got
even more ***ed when my third child Mason was born.  All I can say is
that I am totally HOOKED!!!! I get so e***d when I am going cropping, or
when I find products that are perfect for the page I want to do.  You all
can relate when I say that Scrapping gives me such a sense of
accomplishment. When I do a really nice page, I feel SO GOOD!!! I go to crop
at least once a month with my CM consultant, she puts together wonderful
crops at a church.  Robin is awesome!!!Her enthusism is very contagious. She
gets you totally pumped up about scrapping!!!   Now that I've told you all
my life story, I was wondering if any of you have gone to the WI
Scrapbooking Convention, here in Milw.?  I went last year and I really
enjoyed it, but this year I am going to take a class or two, and was
wondering if any of you who have wnet before have ever taken any classes, and
if so which ones??
Thank you for listened and nice to meet you all, I am sure we will talk
soon, until then Happy Scrappin,
Melena

Welcome Melena!!

I live up in Ontario, so don't go to the State conventions, I don't even go
to ones in my Province!  They are all just too far away for me, plus I only
ever started hearing of SB conventions very recently.  They sound like a lot
of fun and very educational too.  Maybe if one comes close to me I will go.

Your GS SB sounds very interesting!  Bet it helps on sign up days to get the
girls pumped up for the activities they may be doing during their year?

Karen

Hi Melena

I'm from Wisconsin too..   Glad to have you aboard.   I used to live in
Milwaukee (Greenfield) but now am living in LaCrosse.  I plan to attend
this year's convention on Friday.  Not going to take any classes though,
as I have to drive back to be at work at 4 on Saturday afternoon. I am
also a member of a group on Yahoo called WIscrappers.  The girls on
there are giving rave reviews to the convention last year and several
are going to classes this year as well.  It sure does sound like an
exciting time, I can hardly wait!!

Welcome Melena!  Glad you found us here.  Your story sounds so
familiar to a lot of the gals onthis NG.  Totally hooked is a great
way to describe us!  I live in New Albany, MS and I haven't been in WI
in years so no help here - just a hello.  I look forward to sharing
ideas with you.
