I went for my 8 week appt. today :) The baby looks great, I could see
the heartbeat on the ultrasound. The doc gave me 2 prescriptions for
morning sickness, hope they work, I am feeling awful! By this time next
mnth I should feel better and have some more energy I hope!!!

Great news Amber.  Be careful with those prescriptions.  If they are the
same ones I got they just knocked me out.  I was so tired and could not
continue with my day nor drive so I opted to continue being sick.  That
seemed the lesser of two evils.

Dittos here - the phenagren did indeed temporarily stop the vomiting - but
at the same time it knocked me out for 17 hrs (a single dose), so much that
I was not able to wake up long enough to take even a few sips of water (it
was over 90deg. out too!), so, we decided that it just wasn't worth it; even
as sick as I was with it.

For morning sickness try some JOLLY RANCHERS!!  I lived on these things for
5 months!!  The tartness settles your tummy for some reason.  Crackers and
Ginger tea didnt' do a thing for me!

"For morning sickness try some JOLLY RANCHERS!! "

Oh gross Rhonda!  That sounds horrible.  I was sick throughout both of my
pregnancies so I have considerable experience in this, unfortunately.  My
Dr. prescribed some stuff for me which never cured it, just lessened the
severity SLIGHTLY.  Yuk.  Let's hear it for birth control!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, the only thing I could stomach for weeks was grapefruit juice.  I
craved the stuff.  Crackers made me barf though... go figure.

Grapefruit juice - ick!!!!!  I was sick (very sick) with both of mine too -
the only (and I do mean only) thing I kept down most of the time was milk!

Everyone is different - it is just a matter of finding what works for you.

LOLStephanie!! You are a riot!

Someone told me to keep dry soda crackers by my bed and eat them as soon
as I awoke, before getting up. I did, and I had crumbs as well as barf in
my bed! LOL

I had it bad too with Jeremy, not so bad with Emily, just queasy all the
time. What worked for me with Jeremy was...Burrito Supremes from Taco Bell
and Banana Splits from Dairy Queen. Gross I know, but I kept those down!
Washed it all down with gallons of Minute Maid Orange Soda. And I wonder now
why I have a weight problem...lol!

This is weird. All these cures for morning sickness. I finally figured out I
could keep glaze donuts down. That was the only thing that worked for me.

But if we ALWAYS use birth control we don't seem to have as much inspiration
(our kids) for our scrapbooking habit!
