Cat Hairs

Does anyone else have trouble with cathairs (not to mention cats) in your
layouts? I've about reached the point where if there isn't a cat hair stuck
to the page somewhere, it isn't my work.
While I'm not (yet) ready to trade them in on a pair of goldfish, many's the
time I find myself yelling, "Get out from between me and what I'm doing!" I
know I'm not the only person here owned by a cat, so how do you all handle
stuff like this?

I have a beagle basset mix, and we have dog hair everywhere, but he
does not really come into my s***room, and if he does it is to lay on
the floor under my chair (since he can not get on my bottom shelf
anymore).  We do have other problems with the dog hair, like you can
not sit anywhere in the house and not have it all over you.  We
actually have a lint brush*** next to the door for days when we
are wearing dark colors.

I have the same problem with my cat... as much as I try to get the cat hair
out, some always manages to work its way onto my layouts

Well first of all, I TRY NOT to give mine any attention - RIGHT, then I
just grumble, get the tweezers out and hurry up and get the LO's in the
nice, clean, protective covers -LOL!!!

That's what I was going to suggest... getting some tweezers and keep them in
your pen cup.  Also I have a cloth for wiping finger prints off of photos
which I do before they go into the sheet protector.  I wonder if it would
also wipe off cat hairs too.

Thanks, Dave and Lynne!
I have tried the tweezers, and they are the best way I've found to get hairs
out of the way. Like earlier this evening, when I placed a piece of vellum
inside a card with the invisible vellum tape, only to find after I'd pressed
it down that between the tape and the vellum was a big black cat hair.
Grrr...  Fortunately, the vellum came back up without tearing, and out came
the tweezers. After I took them back from the cat, I was able to remove the
hair without destroying the vellum tape. At this point I was forced to
remove (several times) the cat from the table.
Funny thing is, this particular cat isn't black.
*Sigh* I suppose cat hair is just gonna have to be my signature touch.

I was thinking the same thing... when you're sharing your albums you can
just add, "What can I say, I love cats!"

LOL Mel, I have lived with cat hair so long,I rarely notice it. If I see
any stuck to my adhesives..I just pull it off.
My dear ole cat loves to lie on my work!!! I don't dare leave it out
when I am not working on it. I have decided that he
feels if I spend so much time and concentration on 'that thing' it must
be worth sleeping on! LOL
I check all LO for cat hair and remove what I see. Actually, I think
it is funny and maybe an embellishment on the pagesI fo of him! ;-o

Be happy, it could be worse....we have a St Bernard, add into that festival
of hair the fact it is spring which equals shedding time and well....cats
look VERY attractive right now!

My cat doesn't much get in the way when I'm scrapping. As I'm typing
this I just noticed a cat hair on the keyboard. lol That hair does have
a tendancy to fly around quite a bit. My cat's all black so his hairs
really show up. Where'd that lint roller go anyway?

Thanks, I am a wanna be scrapper, I've got everything from laminators to
cutters, punchers, albums, papers, *little pretties*, even a large scale
printer so it could fit the scrapbooking pages (not often you need to print
up to 13x19 otherwise!) you'd faint if you saw my closet....and I have ZERO
artistic ability....so the stuff sits there waiting for inspiration,  I have
*issues* when going into the scrapbooking store....I buy a ton, bring it
home, and into the closet it goes....hoping one day my creative ability will
blossom. Hasn't happened yet tho'
<sigh>

So I lurk, and look at all the wonderful albums you all create. Every now
and then my kids get creative and make something...usually a card from my
stash, but that is about the extent of it.

Thanks for the welcom tho' !

Cheers
Jamie
