My brother wants me to explain how and why model trains are 'cool'.  I
know why I like them, but I don't know how to explain it to him in
terms that HE could understand.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

"...it was very sad when i learned that my brother didn't like the
same things i liked...i liked stamp collecting...he liked baseball...i
liked bicycles...he liked video games...later he liked girls and i
liked cars...it was very sad...now he lives in a middle-income
neighborhood, drives a bmw, and wears suits to work...i live on a farm
and raise peaches...our wives like the same things, though, like
garage sales, flea markets, going to church, etc...

...i finally gave up...rather than try to explain to my brother why
stamps and cars were cool, i tried to find out what he thought was
cool and talked about that instead...my brother and i will be 90 yrs
old, sitting on the porch of the nursing home, each one talking about
two different things...

...it's just the way we are...some of us are like our
grandfather...some of us are like our uncle...some are like their mom
or dad...it's just the way we are..."
