Soliciting the best in-cowl muffler for the OS .46 FX engine. Have Sig Citabria
and purchased the Slimline Sport muffler for an inverted installation. Not
happy with amount of cowling need to remove to fit muffler.

Any better suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

I used the CB Tatone recommended by Great Plains on the Decathalon 40.  It
fit completely in the cowl with the .46fx.  I only cut a hole for the
cylinder head heat to exit and a slot out the bottom of the cowl.  I
drilled the tank pressure tap about 1/2" from the 90deg turn.  It is
heavier but that .46fx really screams with it and it sure doesnt act like
the weight matters.  I run a 12x5 MA prop.  I dont recall the model number
of the muffler.  I can get it for you when I get home if you want.  I
highly recommend it.
