What pitts do you have in your Ultimate? Or which would you recommend?
Please include prices if possible.
Thanks
Dave

Pitts or In-cowl muffler for the CG Ultimate ?

I used an AAP pitts muffler on my CG Ultimate.  I mounted it to the Gator
soft mount (aluminum) so vibration was not a problem.  Also, the AAP
muffler comes with the hardware for my YS-120 and a teflon connector
(never breaks).  Price was about $50, but that was 4 years ago.  Radio
South and Centra Hobbies both carry AAP products and may have the muffler
in stock.

The downside to the muffler is that you have to cut a lot of the cowl
(side and bottom for a side mounted engine).  If I had had to do it all
over again I would set up the Ultimate like my CG Extra: mount the engine
inverted on a Dave Brown soft mount. Use a Hatoi flex header and AAP
tuned pipe (also soft mounted).  Very low vibration, very quiet, and a
clean cowl.  Downside is a pipe mounted under the fuse.  If you wanted to,
you could mount the pipe in the fuse, but that's a lot of work.
