Construction of in-cowl muffler

It appears that there is no suitable commercially available in-cowl
muffler for an inverted OS 91FX (from what I've heard the Top Flite
muffler is too restrictive for an engine this size and will cause
overheating). However, this should not stop an R/C enthusiast.
Therefore I would like to construct my own muffler. I know that the
volumes of the different compartments of the muffler are related to
the size of the engine but I don't know the exact relationship. Does
anyone know the formula and possibly any tips regarding the
construction?
