could someone tell me where I could find the deffinition of class A,AA,AAA,etc.

 It's under "Sanctioned Events" in the AMA membership manual.

While I'm here, was it you who posted the sorta-grisly photos of a
couple of gents in your club who got bit by an engine ?

IIRC the firewall broke and the engine swung around on the throttle
cable and got the guy holding the fuse.

If so, please visit the current thread on _starters_.  There are a
couple of folks who seem to think that fingers are ok for starting .60
sized engines.  Maybe they need to see what can happen even on a small
engine.
