Fun 51 control throws

Post by Don & Mary Dale Sanfor » Tue, 22 Oct 2002 11:33:33

I have acquired an Ace Fun 51 but no documentation. I would  appreciate it
if some one would post the control throws and CG limits. Any advice on
flying characteristics would be very helpful.

TIA

Don:

 This is a bit confusing....

The Ace Plane is called the "Lazy Tiger 51"...  If that's what you have, the
specs are:

CG = 4 to 4 1/4" back from the LE at the main spar??  (from the manual...)
Just balance it on the spar...

Elev...  Low; 5/8" up & down. High; 1" up & down

Ail...  Low; 5/8" up & 3/8" down. High; 1" up & 3/8" down (honest...)

Rudder...  Low; 1" left & right. High; 13/8" left & right......

If you have the Tower Hobbies "Fun 51" profile, you can download the
building manual at:
http://www.towerhobbies.com/products/pdf/towa5010mnl.pdf

It contains the info you seek...

Both are good flyers...  The Ace plane has amazing slow flight capabilities,
if not overpowered...  A .25 is great for this plane..  I have an ST .34 on
mine and it's almost overpowered....

Cheers,

Bill
