I Just finished rebuilding a YA J70 series lathe with the variable speed
drive. It was/is quite a machine. The headstock has 3 main bearings,
with a machined cylinder inside the headstock. There is set***at
the top of my headstock (just over the inboard spindle) that let me tap
out the machined cylinder. Once that was out, the rest was pretty easy
to disassemble and put new bearings on. BUT, I did have to go to a guy
here in Denver for the right tools.
I have a jpg of the YA J70 series headstock that i got from Greg Bilbo.
if the TV12 is the same.
Also, YA was purchased by Garet Broadhead. They have a web site ( they
make school supplies) and they may some (VERY little) info.
Email me if you need more help, I will see what I can do.
