I'm constantly searching for Deer, Moose, and Mule Deer
Antler to make pens from.  I like to buy from individuals since
they usually have fresher antler to sell.

Please contact me or forward this message to someone
you know that has a large supply of antler.
I'll even pay a finders fee for a good referral.

Never heard of one, but there are water-based dyes in the WW catalogs that
should give you acceptable results.

Dave,

See if you can get some nice white Holly and some blue analine dye. Mix the die
with water to get the dye color you want. Put it on just before you put on the
finish, unfortunately, you'll have to wait for it to dry. Be sure to raise the
grain before you apply the dye.

Good luck,

Wally,

The product is called Orgenoil and comes in a few varieties and are all tung
oil based. There is "Woodsheen" which is a fine buffing oil which give a
satin type finish.  There is "Hard Burnishing Oil which give a matt sheen
patina and there is "Interior" which is a clear finishing oil.  The oil has
a citrus aroma to it,  you must be careful though as I have found my wife
doesn't mind coming into the workshop when I am using it, and we must limit
those sort of invasions.  I don't know if it is available in South Africa
but the companies name and address is:-

Organoil Pty Ltd
Lot 4 Centennial Circuit,
Byron Bay
NSW  Australia 2481

Ph. 61 26685 8896

If you have trouble obtaining it, let me know and I will see what I can do.
It's about $16 AUS for 500ml.
