A CNC lathe that does all the work for you?  What fun is that?  May
as well just go buy a nice pen and be done with it...

Well, as someone who participates in woodturning for the sheer joy, and
pleasure of trying to make something beautiful from wood, also as a pleasent
way to pass the days of my twilight years, I must say my answer to your
question would be
 "not much".

$4,000 seems a lot for CNC on a minilathe when you can buy a Sherline CNC
milling machine for $800.

Copy lathes in general don't get as good a finish straight from the tool as
a human.  I'm not sure that this CNC lathe could do better.  It depends on
how well the software can control the presentation of the tool to the
workpiece.
