Adjusting McNaughton Lazer light on deep hollowing

Has anyone found a better way of adjusting the lazer on the lazer
attachment for the Kel McNaughton deep hollowing rig. Mine appears to be
difficult. After I think I have it adjusted and I tighten the screw, the
focus point jumps. I am thinking about taping the holder and putting a
machine***up against the barrel of the lazer, in two orthogonal
planes.

ANy thoughts.

Walter,
I have had the same problem and find it a bit frustrating to say the
least. But knowing this, If I fidget enough with the set screws I can
get it to work and hold it's setting. I had thought of making a sleeve
for the lazer tube that fits the mounting tube better. Maybe we should
ask McNaughton about this?

If you were remove the tightening***and file/grind it to a point, you
should find the problem is gone when the***is reinserted.
