Syrah/Merlot blend

Syrah/Merlot blend

Next question: I have the opportunity to get some Syrah and some Merlot
grapes.

I tend to find Syrah too full bodied and Merlot a little light.

Does it make sense to make a blend of these two in the same way a Cab
Sav/Merlot blend makes sense?

If so, what ratio do people recommend?
