Welches Grape Juice Wine

Welches Grape Juice Wine

A while back I saw a recipe for a 5 gallon batch of wine made from
frozen Welches Grape Juice.  Can anyone direct me to a recipe such as
this?  I remember the article said the 100% Welches Grape Juice was
just as good as any Juice sold specifically for wine.

Welche's can be used for a number of things, including making a
very good wine.  The secret is to use about 3 1/3 cans per gal.  When
you add the water, use two cans instead of three to dilute. This will
render a fairly full bodied wine.   E-mail me if you'd like some
specific recipes or you can access Jack Keller's site for some very
workable recipes.

I have been shopping for Welch's Grape Juice and am VERY dissapointed.  They
have just changed their product from "JUICE" to "COCKTAIL".  That means less
grape content plus more additives.   I am in Vancouver, Canada.... has the
same thing happened in the US?   Read the label carefully!!

Keep looking.  You will probably find a store that carries it.  I have one
locally that carries both, most other grocery stores only have the***tail.

I don't usually follow Welch's but your post piqued my
interest.

I checked out our *best* grocery and found white grape
juice and something disturbingly called "'Light Grape'
Less tha 1/2 the calories of Welch's Regular Grape
***tail".

I hate the term *Light* when associated with any kind
or type of food.  But I suppose it is aimed at the *large*
portions of our population who are obese.

Unfortunately the *FAT* people are getting in the way
of my enjoyment.

I think its even worse that these so called "dietetic" substitutes are
actually more harmful than their "heavy" counterparts...

A proper diet is not made by eating "diet" cake, and "diet" soda. Its by
eating the right foods in the right proportions...

In a small, but very different track...I sort of agree with Jack.

I don't think that "fat" people are to blame, I think its the faceless death
corps. and mass media which are the primary cause of societal problems and
the occasional roadbump that has to be endured due to someone else's (read
media manufactured) weaknesses.

I would ask that you wouldn't be so harsh sometimes though Jack. =)

Thanks, Jeff.  I'll be calling them REAL soon.  I encourage everyone who
does't want to use raisins for adding body to country (non-grape) wines
to do the same.

Why not just use Knudsen's concentrate, or one of the other organics on
the market.  Absolutely 100 percent juice with nothing else.  In fact, it
may be these guys that killed Welch's business in this area...

I live in Central New Jersey and am able to get 100% Welch's in both the frozen
and can styles. They do have the bottled juice that is 100$ juice but with
water added.

What is 100$ juice with water added??????????
If anything is added, it ain't 100% juice, but if you
believe otherwise, I've got this bridge...........
