a titrette is a glass ampule in which is a chemical solution and a vaccum
to pull in wine for testing. The wine mixes with the solution to show a
color change. When the end color change has been achieved, you can read your
resulting SO2 level on the graduated lines on the side of the ampule. You
can buy them in packs of 10 or so from just about any winemaking supply
