Helimax governor using hints and tip?

What problems or hints do you have for using the governor? I plan to install
when in my test heli first (shuttle) and then in my Xcell. I know about having
good curves as defaults, both helis are currently in use and setup, I just
hate bogging on climbs and overspeeding in decents.

                 Thanks

A governor won't help with any bogging on climbs Adam, that's a function
of the power available and it'll only help stop the overspeeding IF you
set the "governed point" below the maximum speed your engine can DRIVE
the blades.

If the governed point is set higher than the engine can drive the blades
at max pitch, then when the pitch is removed, the engine will speed
everything up until it reaches the governed point and the governor stops
it, so the first thing you need to establish is exactly how much pitch
your engine can handle then "come back" a little and start your governor
set up from that point.

Use a very fast servo on the throttle.

Overspeed should be cured completely. That's why I went with a governor, and
I love it.

There are lots or reasons for bogging, most of which a governor cannot cure.
