>Subject: Raptor and 36H setup question. Please help.
>Just bought the ARF Raptor the other day and am setting it up. First
helicopter, so please be bear with me. My question is about the throttle and
the pitch servo. As I throttle up, should the throttle be turning clockwise or
counter clockwise? I can't find anything in the manual and sure don't wnat to
turn over the engine while it's in full throttle. Same question applies to the
pitch servo. I mounted as per instructions in book, but it appears to be
backward. Where the book shows at full throttle the pitch should be at 12
degrees, but mine actually lowers the current blade degree (puts it about 00 I
assume I just need to reverse the servo via the radio, but was hoping someone
whith more knolwedge than myself could help me out.
Doug I dont have a Raptor but on most engines moving the throttle arm counter
clockwise gives full power what engine is it??? As far as pitch you should
see the blades pitch increase as you move the throttle up, it sounds like your
backward on pitch. Just go into your radio and reverse the collective servo.
Set up pitch as per instructions. As a beginner you do not want a lot of
negative pitch 1 or 2 degrees negative to start with, hover 4/5 degrees or what
the book says and set the top end up at around 8,9,10 degrees till you get the
engine broke in and set up. This will also help you learn to fly, the
collective will not be very sensitive and allow you to concentrate on learning
to hover at first. I would advise you to get some one on one help in your area,
they can help you get it set up and give you a few lesson`s with your new heli.
