Hi,
anybody know if there's helicopter flying field (club) in Chino, Rowland
heights,or Irvine area
in California. I want to see what people are flying and what equipment they
have before buying my own heli.
thanks

I highly recommend Pegasus Hobbies in Montclair
http://www.pegasushobbies.com and ONLY talk to a Guy called Tony - he is the
only one that really cares and knows about Helis.
There is a club in San Bernardino - Helis only and a lot of friendly
seasoned Guys - it will be an honor for you to watch a Guy called Walt fly
if you can. This Guy went from hover into inverted hover in what seems to me
like under 6 feet and you should see his autos. On top of that he is very
down to earth and low key unlike loud mouths that can barely hover.
There is a club in Chino called Prado Flying field - tarmac runway and
helipad very cool - mainly planks though and older folks with 1/4 scale
planks.
There is a club I think in Compton and they have a website which I don't
remember the URL - hopefully Jens is lurking and he can provide more
details - this is an Heli only place and I heard lots of nice folks there
too.
MTA Hobbies in Torrance may have a good price on Raptor helicopters but
DON'T buy parts from them too pricey, I paid $3 - $4 more than at
www.gr8lakesrc.com
I am sure that you will end up buying a Raptor.
