Post by Chris Evreniadi » Wed, 15 Dec 1999 04:00:00

Any body out there know how to set up a radio for the new Ikarus
Piccolo.

I am new to indoor flight and can not work out how to set the radio for
the Piccolo.

Well, I've had one on order for about 3 weeks (in the UK).
Seem very slow in coming.
I'll let you know when/if I get it.

Chris,
The current first batch piccoboards are setup for a JR channel
order which is
something like throttle,elevator,aileron,rudder (i think).

If you have a Futaba radio or a radio that uses the Futaba transmitted
channel ordering then that will be aileron, elevator, throttle, rudder

The piccoboard only has two servo connection pionts to the outside
world, labelled something like roll(aileron) and nick (elevator), the
other channels (throttle and rudder) are integral to the piccoboard. If
your tx transmits the channels in the wrong order to what the board
expects you will struggle to get it setup properly.

I think Ikarus have  piccoboards available now on the Futaba channel
order as well.

Hope that helps.
