Ergo Flybar Diameter and Paddles

Post by richard si » Tue, 11 May 1999 04:00:00

I have a new Ergo 60 that is ready to fly!

Everyone told me to git rid of the OEM paddles ?
Also I note that the Diameter is much larger than my X-cell  with Pro
-11 paddles!

I have heard many comment on larger dia. is better       ---- smaller
is better!
I am a fair pilot with some 3-d skills  etc
Before  I  fly       I would like some opinions?
  Thanks Heliflyer

See the May 1999 issue of RC Modeler!  The Hover Section has an article on
Fly Bars and Paddles for the Ergo 60!!

Well, thats not necessarily true.  I am using the 500mm t\flybar with XCell
pro II paddles.  I think this is the best setup for me.  I could not stand
those KSJ paddles.  They were just to ;light and twitchy for my flying.  I
also felt like I lost some authority with regard to cyclic.  I guess
everyone's different.  The thing I likes about the XCell paddles is that you
can add and subtract weights as you feel necessary to suit your flying
style.  The KSJ's dont let you do that.

My  X-cell is setup witout any weight in my Pro-11 paddles     about 27
grams.

I love these paddles and wanted response from someone trying these on a
Ergo

I just gave my heli buddy a set of extra Pro-11 paddles and now wish I
hadn,t!

I am a X-cell flyer and just didn,t want to change brands ,, but I won
the Ergo

 I must tell you how?

In September we had a Mid-Atlantic Heli event!
It was a Memerioal to Tony McDowwell
I was with Len Seboto  and we were setting up my new PCM10SX11 and he
keep complaining about me flying a  NON-JR product

And I got up and told Len that I would be right back with the new Ergo ,
They had donated.
I walked back with it in my arms.

I just felt lucky that day
Len laughs about it still today.

It all depends on what you like I guess.  All of the guys I fly with
that have Ergo 60's fly the shorter flybar with the KSJ paddles and no
flybar weights, though you can put flybar weights on with the KSJ
paddles.

Tony had a massive heart attack!

He had history of heart problems but was stubborn and did,nt go to the
doctor
They found him and he had died in his home.

Last year I was lucky with R/C events
I won a Ergo Sports 60 and a Zeneoh G-62
and other nicnacks over the year.
These were grandprizes and two events
All together about $1000 worth!
