Is there a good source for the Piccolo in the U.S.?  It sounds like it
could be fun to build and fly, but would prefer having a more ready
source of parts should I need them.  I've been looking but so far
haven't turned up anything, admitted, I maybe looking in the wrong
places.  Any help?

Horizonhobby.com stocks the Piccolo and ALL the spare parts....in stock %98 of
the time.  Their prices are a little more than some places, butg the service is
excellent.
But you may also consider the newer MS Hornet micro heli.  About the same size,
but I think it flies better and smoother...plus it gets 10+ minutes on the
included battery of flight time!  Price is the same as the Piccolo, but it is a
better heli.  You can see it here:

Most people I know say the Piccolo takes punishment better than the Hornet,
which often requires spare parts to be fitted after a crash. The Piccolo
just clips back together, or can be repaired with a drop of CA. - I  am new
to heli's and only had my pic a month, but I have not had to buy any spares
even though I crash 9 times out of ten !

I just bought one pre-assembled. I prefer to build myself, but my LHS let me
buy it for $200 with everything included.  The guy who built it didn't trim
very well and I do not have a training rig for it so I haven't tried to trim
it yet. Do you have any pointers for mounting the battery and getting good
center of gravity?
