FUNKEY Fuselage construction tips ????

Post by Craig Milne » Sat, 15 Apr 2000 04:00:00

I have just bought a Funkey Jet Stream fuselage for my Shuttle. Very
nicely made epoxy fibreglassing. However no instructions on how to fit
it to the mechanics. Before I started I thought I would see if anyone
has any experience, or can offer any advice.

Also the tail boom tube comes to an end just short of the tail gearbox.
Is this all that can be done in this area?

Does the fuselage need supporting/bracing or is it just held in place
between the body and the skids? Obviously weight is a consideration
(with the ply formers I had in mind) but the effect of vibration
concerns me.

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Craig

Go to www.scalemodelhelicopters.com
There's lots of help there and you can order J. Michael Ellis's book on the
subject too.
