Hi,

I'm building my first heli, a Falcon 46 and looking for a used radio.
I have found a 642 and a 347. does anybdy have any opinions on these?

Anybody else have a radio system for sale?

Thanks in advance,
Rob

I've never used the 642, but I have 2 347s, and am most impressed with
it/them. They'll supply most "toys" that will take you through the later
stages. I have heard, however, that JR no longer produces this great radio,
so I'm not sure how support would be

The 347 is a much better radio...the 642 is discontinued now too, at least
I'm pretty sure it is, since they just changed it to a 652.  If you want a
decent used radio....the 347 would be the best bet.  I used to have a
388...almost the same radio....and now use an 8103.  Now there's a good
radio....it will do nearly everything...only surpassed by the 10
series...unless you start looking at other brands.

Robert,

Get that 347.  I did and absolutely love it...  You could do better with an
8103, but you'll
most likely need to spend more bucks...

I have the manual for the 347 and know it well.  Drop me a line if you have
any questions.
