Query with Heading hold when already using gear for gear!!.

Dear All

Just looking for some advice, I have a JR3810 ADT and was wondering how I
can overcome the following. If I use the Gear switch for say CSM540 in
heading hold how can I change this so my heli can use the gear channel for
the retracts?. What can you do on this radio to achieve the gear on gear and
still fly in heading hold mode.

Thanks ever so

Ned

I use aux2 output mixed from my aux3, ie normal flight mode(aux3) is
non-HH along with Idle up1, and my idle up 2 is HH.

Why are you using the GEAR channel for the gyro mode?!  You should be able
to use the gyro mode/gain switch on the left hand side!  That way you can
use the transmitter [gyro sens] function as intended, then use the gear
channel for your retracts.

There was/is a problem with using the gyro function on JR and also the aux3
socket on PCM JR receivers. The Aux3 channel timing differs slightly from
the other chanells, I believe it is the period it updates, if I remember it
is discussed in the CSM instructions.

I am not familar with the 3810, but the 10X has a seperate aux2 switch which
can be used, thus freeing up the gear channel.

Regards
Sean

Yes, I know what you're saying... but I use it, and it's fine!
How come?
