Adjusting midrange on ST carb

My 61 SFN ABC with a Min. nitro pipe is runing fat in the midrange.
I would like to know which way to rotate the jet to lean it out.
Looking in the bottem of the carb the jet opening is facing strait at
you.
The moter has about two gallens of fule througt it.

there is 2 ways of adjusting the mid range on these carb. the most
common and will probably do the trick for you is that the high and low
ends together adjust the mid. if its fat then either you high  or low
end needle are off. the supertigre is one of the easiest to adjust...
warm the engine up and pinch the fuel line back from the fuel inlet...
it should take between 4-8 seconds to peak out and just drop off. if
this is close then recheck your high end needle. if these seem close
then you can rotate the complete barrel assymbly. loosen up the to
screws that hold the side of the carb, the ones around the fuel
***... rotate this just a little bit. like 1/16 inch to start. rotate
the *** towards the engine case/head. you really shouldn't have to do
this though. if you loosen those screws put  some lock tite back on
those***threads.

hope this helps

Dave,

I've been using the same set-up for quite a while<g>.  Looking at the fuel
*** on the ST carb, if you loosen the two small screws (mark the inserts
location first for reference), and turn the insert so that the *** is
further away from engine mount it will be leaner in hover.
